“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

Matthew 25:40

In a world were there are so many needs, does one act of love really make a difference yes, it does. When we give our time and resources toward making a difference in someone's life, the love of Jesus is demonstrated.

Volunteer FAQ

How do I volunteer?

If you are interested in volunteering contact any church leader to get connected with the group leader of the particular ministry you are interested in.

How do I volunteer to serve as an usher?

Ushers are the first faces people see when they  come to church. They are often the "first representative" of Jesus.  Having the right people with the right "Spirit" really makes a difference in the experience our guests and members having. If you would like to be a part of the Usher Department please contact the President of the Usher Board.

How do I volunteer with music?

Music helps people connect with God in praise and worship.  Singing unto God is a way we can communicate our hearts desires  or even encourage other believers. Consider serving in the music ministry by leading adults or children in worship, directing youth choir,  or playing an instrument. If you desire to be a part of the music ministry contact the President of the Music Department.

How do I volunteer to help those with medical needs?

If you desire to help those with physical needs and are interested in the health and wellness of the body of Christ then the Health Ministry may be where you can serve. The Health Ministry  assists in visiting the sick, takes care of in-house emergencies, provides health and wellness education, partners with the Usher Board for our Covid -19 response, and will plan and coordinate future medical mission trips.  If this sounds like something you would like to be a part of please see our Health Ministry President.

How do I volunteer to help with the general needs of people?

Have you ever had a friend or someone in need who looked to you for help in a time of need? Where you able
to provide the right resources ?  If you would like to assist in helping those who ask  by providing or locating
the proper resources then serving  on the Social Services team  may be a place where you fit in.
Social Services coordinates with people in need, helps run our church benevolence , and helps solve
problems that ordinary people are struggling with. If you would like to be a part of the team see the Social Services President.

Meet the team.

Gabe Thornton

Music Department President
Things don't happen by accident! God allowed me to start learning music at the age of 6 and promoted me to the President of the Music Department when I was 15 years old.  No matter how old you are, serve the Lord!

Sonya Watkins

Usher Board President
Welcoming people and making them feel at home in God's house is what I do. Ushering helps keep the service in order and allows the people of God to enter into His presence freely.

Amelia Powell

Health Ministry President
When I was 10 years old my father was in an accident and was in a coma for 4 months.  After he was conscious the nurses that visited taught me how to help with his care at home. That teaching made a lifelong impact on my life. I now want to see others whole and healthy so they can serve God.

Nara Carney

Social Service President
Social work allows me to serve others to help heal or problem solve; to make this world a better place. I am so glad God allows me to do what I love in the church.
